Usually in situations when the tape has a clean break you many only lose a second or two, but if the machine has eaten a tape and it becomes wrinkled you may lose 20 to 25 seconds. CVP will usually remove and repair the bad area. It is possible to leave the wrinkled damaged area but you will see very noticeable lines move throughout the picture. Usually in situations when the audio tape has a clean break you many only lose a second or two, but if the machine has eaten an audio cassette and it becomes wrinkled you may lose 15 to 20 seconds.
